By downloading, installing, or using the Uplift mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Uplift ("we," "us," or "our") regarding your use of the App.

2. Description of Service

Uplift is a mobile application that provides:

Daily motivational quotes and affirmations
Personalized content based on user preferences
Quote categorization and favorites management
Streak tracking and progress monitoring
Notification reminders and sharing features
Premium subscription features (for paid users)

3. User Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the App, you may need to create an account or provide personal information. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information
Maintain and update your account information
Keep your account credentials secure
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription Services

Premium Subscription Terms

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions: Uplift offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions.

Subscription Plans:

Monthly Premium: $2.99 per month
Yearly Premium: $25.00 per year (30% savings)

Auto-Renewal:

Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
You can manage and turn off auto-renewal in your Apple ID Account Settings
No refunds are provided for unused portions of the subscription period

Premium Features Include:

Unlimited AI-generated personalized quotes
Access to premium categories and exclusive content
Advanced analytics and progress tracking
Cloud sync across all devices
Custom themes and unlimited reminders
Ad-free experience

Payment and Billing

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store
Prices may vary by location and are subject to change
Taxes may apply based on your location
Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID Account Settings
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
You will continue to have access to premium features until the end of the current period

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
Share your account credentials with others
Use automated systems to access the App
Violate any applicable laws or regulations

6. Content and Intellectual Property

Our Content

The App and its content, including but not limited to text, graphics, images, and software, are owned by Uplift and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of any content you create or share through the App. By sharing content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the App.

AI-Generated Content

AI-generated quotes and content are provided for personal use only. You may not claim ownership or commercial rights to AI-generated content.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee that the App will be available at all times. We may suspend or discontinue the App at any time without notice.

Content Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate and helpful content, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided through the App.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Uplift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately, and you must delete the App from your device.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by:

Posting the updated Terms in the App
Sending you a notification
Updating the "Last Updated" date

Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Uplift operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
